The Ultra-Star has been the world-renowned standard for the sport of Ultimate since 1991, serving as the official and exclusive disc of the USA Ultimate Championship Series. Ultimate is a fast-paced, non-contact field game that combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. Two seven-player squads compete on a field similar to a football field, with the objective of scoring by catching a pass in the opponent's end zone. The disc may only be advanced by completing a pass to a teammate, and teams can make as many passes as they wish, as long as the disc remains in the air. The thrower, however, has only 10 seconds to release a pass before possession is turned over. Turnovers result in an immediate change of possession and a change in the direction of play.

Games are generally played to 15 points, with each point beginning with a 'pull' from one end zone to the other. After each score, the teams switch ends of the field. The Ultra-Star disc comes in a range of foil colors and weighs 175 grams, ensuring a consistent and reliable playing experience for Ultimate enthusiasts.
